Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of talents, including being able to direct, act production, create plays as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, the child of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of plays as a child and observing her mother doing her job. At the beginning of her career, Anna appeared on several commercials for television. Anna was able to move to Toronto so that her acting skills could improve. The actress later was able to move to Los Angeles. Anna was introduced to Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an acting workshop in Los Angeles, and they got engaged in the year the year 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011 after converting to Judaism. They got married civilly in December of the same year, and they then renewed their vows at an Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011. Bo and Lauren's romance (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) appears in CNN's top TV couple list. They also were named in the 2013 edition of E! as the top couple on TV in 2013. Entertainment Television.
