Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and made her stage debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played her role of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best supporting Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on July 24, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actor and New Zealander who as a kid won her first Academy Award in 1993 for the top support actress. She played the feisty girl who played Holly Hunter's role on the film The Piano. She won the role of Flora McGrath the daughter of an blind Scottish pianist who, in the middle of 19th century, moves into New Zealand for an arranged wedding after she accepted an open audition call; she was nine years old. She had little previous acting experience. When she was a teenager the family relocated from Canada and eventually to United States. Paquin made her debut in the midst of her childhood with a character in the Jane Eyre protagonist in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre, and then an important role on the film Fly Away Home. Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the TV version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 movie Amistad. She portrayed teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). She portrayed her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
