Allya Taylor Joy was born on the 16th of April, 1996, in Miami Florida. The girl is English and one-half Spanish. Her parents include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor Joy also has 4 siblings. One of them is from each of her parents' previous marriages. The family is initially from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and she did not study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the switched from Northlands. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in shows. At the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to concentrate on her acting profession.
